That’s correct—this kit is designed specifically for the later 1999.5 and newer 7.3 Powerstroke models. The Sinister Diesel 7.3 charge pipe kit, including the 7.3 Powerstroke intake pipe, will not fit early 1999 models due to a design difference in the turbo opening and tube size.
