To prime a diesel engine after installing the Sinister Diesel Fuel Filter Conversion Kit for 2011-2025 Ford Powerstroke 6.7L, fill the new filter with clean diesel fuel if possible. Then, cycle the ignition key to the "on" position several times to activate the electric pump, allowing the system to purge air and fill the new filter. Check for leaks, and once you hear the pump stop running, start the engine and let it idle to ensure proper priming.
